    My baby turned One! A victory for me, not him.

    Baby Kai turned one today and I have a whole array of emotions going on in my brain. While I was trying to keep him alive, he grew up and is now this blabbering, walking, eating, shitting tiny dictator that we are all obsessed with. He is a kind ruler who only yells when  he is hungry, or tired, or inconvenienced slightly.     My Love-Hate Relationship with my Daughter’s Curly Hair.

    My daughter was blessed with amazing curly hair. It is long and thick and cuuuurrrlllyyy.  Her hair is gorgeous but it is the source of many tears in my house, both from her and me. Let me start at the beginning. She was born with 2 inches of hair all around her head. It was full and a beautiful shade of brownish red. I knew right away she was going to have a lot of it.
